DID CHOISEUL POLICE RESCUE A KIDNAPPED GIRL?

Nowadays, it appears that success resides with the Choiseul police.

Last week they made a major breakthrough into a spate of mysterious crimes which had been rocking the foundations of the Choiseul/Saltibus constituency; and indications are they are today closing in on an alleged major kidnapping case!

And although the details are still rather nebulous, the story line is clearly emerging!

The story emerging is a 27-year old girl La Perle, Dennery (name withheld) went to drop off her friend at Sarrot. It is allaged that upon arrival at the Sarrot Junction, she was held at gunpoint in the rental car she drove, kidnapped and driven to an abandoned house in a remote location in Industry, Choiseul.

It is believed that the incident happened on Monday night (October 8); but the girl made a dashing and heroic escape from her captors at about 4.30 am on Tuesday; and through the bush thicket, she landed in neighbouring La Pointe at a home where she was given sanctuary.

The police was immediately summoned and the girl was rescued. At the moment, she has been referred to a doctor for medical examination.

No arrest has been made; but information is rife that the alleged kidnapper may be a “bad boy” Industry resident who has been living in Castries for a sometime now. He is said to be the son of an ex-police officer.

Efforts to confirm the story with the police have been so far unsuccessful.
