Did the PM “wee-wee” in the nation’s eyes?

If anyone had any doubts about the stupidity of King and his government, then last night’s "Address to the Nation" brought the “chickens” home to roost. And more and more Bingo’s calypso about King “protecting his job” is hitting home harder and harder.

Who would have thought that a country’s PM would have stooped so low in the delivery of an address to the nation?

The theory is – and indeed it is plausible - Richard has now compelled the Prime Minister to convert and upgrade Richard’s nefarious, blood-thirsty vendetta against Kenny into a major address to the nation. But is this what the country needs at this time?

At a time that our country is bleeding economically and otherwise, this government is over-confused and is being ill-advised by its “bad boy” Attorney General to pursue a political agenda - ahead of an agenda for economic recovery and crime reduction for St. Lucia.

People are still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Tomas. Fond St. Jacques is on its deathbed and little attention is being paid to it despite all the supplications from Mr Harold Dalson. The Columbette and Bar-de-L’isle roadways are “geo-technically challenged” and still highly unstable. Bexon is another major disaster waiting to happen. Venus and Tete Chemin (in Anse La Raye) are sources of great worry.  Saltibus, Daban and Gertrine need serious attention now! But there wasn’t a single word about the plans to rehabilitate those areas.

What is even more worrying is the fact that the government continues to be the chief law-breaker in the land by invariably disrespecting the very finance laws it is expected to uphold. Moreover, it also continues to harbour deep within its cabinet “world-class” convicted criminals, fraudsters and marauders (some of whom are notorious for depriving the state of perhaps millions of dollars in customs revenue). Notwithstanding, our honorable PM had the audacity to throw so much crass stupidity in the name of an address to the nation.

Earlier on RCI “NewsSpin”, the press secretary had alerted us that the PM would address us on crime and the economy; and I listened in vain to plans to “bang start” the economy, to deal with crime etc; but alas, nothing was heard. There was absolutely nothing worthwhile in King’s address to the nation; and I have to rate it as the worst ever by any prime minister in the history of our country.

Tonight is the night that our own PM – in his attempt to denigrate former PM - threw much stale “piss” into our eyes. “At all cost, Kenny must never return to power” is their mission; and they know why! They are dealing with a man who knows the law!

My own interpretation is King’s address was a conspiracy most likely co-authored by Tucker, RF, Mr “Gay-for Pay” designed to demonise Kenny.  I can easily visualize Tucker & Richard “holding a gun” to King’s head commanding him to rehash all the false claims that they previously leveled against Kenny in the House and to present them under the cloak of an address to the nation. I can see the gay-for-pay Rick Wayne – being who he is – using King’s Speech as fodder to go after Kenny. But the bottom-line is that speech by King was definitely not fitting for an address to the nation; it was more appropriate as a political address for the William Peter Boulevard.

But have no fear! Kenny will deal with them. “Sa yo par vley wer en la port nassal yo, yo kai ni poo wer en fond chamb yo!

  1. What a shame. Totally unethical behaviour by King and Co. - fools St. Lucians into waiting for address on crime, the economy, fuel prices, post-Tomas recovery when they knew all along the address would have been on the red herring, Grynberg issue. The nation should demand an apology from PM King.

  2. Garcon if it was you what would you do? If you know you won't get viewers then you must market something good. fool the people. the usual ting. This had to have been engineered by Rick Wayne - this is what he typically does in the Star - BIG Headline - No Story. Shame on these fellas. I hope King apologizes to St. Lucians.

  3. It's indeed inspiring to see that we have deep-thinking persons like Managing Editor of the Powerhouse and the intelligent contributers above. Rick should consider visiting the University of the Powerhouse to improve his academics and his principles of intellectual honesty.

I completely agree with the analysis given. Nothing concrete, nothing meaningful in an address we expect to be major and wide-ranging.

They started with Royalties and have made "paradigm-shift" to the violation of the Mineral Act and are now expressing fears of litigation by Grynberg. What you sow is what you reap! Apparently, the "paradigm of lies" about Royalties has fallen flat on its face. So in their desperation, they have to find something else.

In these hard times, this government is digging a deeper hole for St. Lucia; by the time Grynberg finishes with them, it may well be in tens of millions. I hope they will all be surcharged for their stupidity.

This government - assisted by the "rorocious" Rick wayne has brought scandal after scandal to St. Lucia. They are a scandal government.

For how much longer can St. Lucians put up with that school-boy and scandalous behaviour? Can't this government sit and do things professionally?

By the way, do they do any work which merits a salary? What are their achievements?

I agree that King should issue an apology to the nation for pissing in our eye in tha way he did!

  4. Scandal after Scandal! you are blessed right! I don't have the stomach for more scandals. St. Lucians, lets rise above that. Prime Minister, let's rise above scandals. Stop acting like a little boy!

  5. King should not be legitimizing Tucker and the Pitbull. He should fire these scandal mongers from his Cabinet right now.

  7. RICHARD ADMITS THAT ALL MONIES MUST BE PAID TO ACCOUNTANT GENERAL. THEN, WHY WERE THE TAIWANESE FUNDS NOT PAID TO THE TREASURY? WHY WERE THE MOROCCAN FUNDS FOR THE MINI-STADIUM NOT PAID INTO THE TREASURY? WHY WERE THE FUNDS FROM PORTUGAL NOT PAID TO THE TREASURY?

WHY IS TUCKER STILL WALKING THE STREETS A FREE MAN? WHY IS TUCKER STILL A MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT?

KENNY NEVER RECEIVED ANY MONEY. TUCKER HAS RECEIVED MILLIONS ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTRY AND NEVER PUT THEM IN CONSOLIDATED FUND.

  8. ANDRE ASKED RICHARD A QUESTION: WILL THE BANK CASH ANY CHEQUE FOR A MINISTER? RICHARD COULD NOT ANSWER.

WE ALL UNDERSTAND WHY TUCKER DEPOSITED THE MONIES HE RECEIVED AT THE CREDIT UNION; AND ONCE IT WAS LAUNDERED IN THE CREDIT UNION, IT WAS REMOVED AND PLACED ELSEWHERE. WHAT IS THE GOV'T DOING ABOUT THAT?

  9. Richard read out the law pertaining to the consolidated fund and the accountant general ( he read it about 3 times perhaps to make sure he himself understood it )and I could see a couple of flaws in his argument about a cheque being written to the minister
1 is not a minister also the government and I would assume any cheque received would be handed over to the Accountant general

2 money is paid to government workers everyday in the post office , ministry of transport IRS, customs etc and there is the assumption that this is handed over to the ACCT General. Why assume that " the minister " would keep any cheque.

The reason of is that the current cabinet would keep it . One of the duties of the AG is to publicly account for the consolidated fund. That should be interesting

  10. Listen people! KING is a lazy, sleepyhead, fool! The guy is so dumb-he bought a new(SUBARU) State Car and do you know that he cannot fit into the front or back seats, his belly is too big! You can see the car at the PM's official residence at Vigie.
Rick (CHEMOBRAIN)Wayne really making an ass out of King-well when it comes to ass leave King and Rick to do their thing.

  11. Rick has been busy all over the place since his return assuring all who would listen, that he would get PM King to make this address. So, as Bingo sang, he read a speech written by Rick in order to "save his job as Prime Minister". Shame !!!!! We have our own Rupert Murdoch.......
